This mobile application ("Melixa") provides hive tracking, data management, and AI-assisted insights for beekeepers. By using the application, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Data Collection

The application may collect and process:

• Account information (email, authentication data)
• Beekeeping and hive management data
• Usage and interaction data
• User inputs sent for AI analysis

Data is stored on cloud infrastructure (Firebase/Firestore).

3. Location Usage

The application may request device location permission.

• Precise location data is NOT stored in our database
• Approximate location is used only to improve seasonal AI analysis accuracy
• Location data may be transmitted securely to AI service providers
• Processing by third-party AI providers is outside our control

4. AI and Data Processing

Melixa offers AI-powered analysis features to help you manage your hives. These features are powered by third-party AI service providers.

AI Service Providers:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) - Privacy Policy
• Google (Gemini AI) - Privacy Policy

Data Shared with AI Providers:

When you use AI features, the following data may be transmitted to AI providers:

• Hive inspection data (observations, measurements, notes)
• Hive information (type, status, queen details)
• Approximate location (for seasonal accuracy in recommendations)
• Historical inspection trends (up to 3 recent inspections)

Important:

• AI outputs are informational and supportive only
• AI outputs are NOT guaranteed to be accurate
• AI outputs do NOT constitute professional advice
• AI systems may contain errors or provide incomplete recommendations
• Data sent to AI providers is processed according to their respective privacy policies

Users remain fully responsible for all decisions made based on AI outputs.

5. AI Data Consent and Controls

We obtain your explicit consent before sharing any data with AI providers.

Consent Mechanism:

• On first app launch, you will see an AI Data Consent dialog
• You can choose to enable or disable AI features
• If you disable AI features, NO data is sent to AI providers

User Controls:

You can control AI data sharing at any time through Settings:

• "Seasonal Tips" toggle - controls AI-powered seasonal recommendations
• "AI Insights After Save" toggle - controls post-inspection AI analysis

When BOTH toggles are disabled, no data is transmitted to AI service providers. You can change these settings at any time in the app's Settings screen.

6. Third-Party Services

The application uses:

• Firebase/Firestore (cloud database)
• AI service providers (e.g., Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude)
• Analytics and infrastructure services

Each provider operates under its own privacy policies, which are outside our control.

7. Data Security

Data transmission uses secure network protocols (HTTPS/TLS). However, no internet transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure.

8. Account and Data Deletion

Users can delete their account using the "Delete Account" button at the bottom of the Profile screen. After two confirmation prompts within the app, all user data is permanently deleted immediately.

9. Children's Privacy

This application is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated periodically. The latest version will always be available within the application. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
